What's coming...

Q3 2024 We prepared for our Kickstarter campaign, showcased at Gamescom 2024 in Germany at the Indie Booth Arena, and worked on the Boss Rush Demo released during the campaign. When fully funded, we continued into full game production.

Q4 2024 Our Kickstarter ended on October 1st, with Late Pledges open until October 15th. Now we are focusing on planning levels and game design in order to assure smooth and efficient development.

Q1 - Q2 2025 In this duration, we will finish many areas/features of the game that are to be taken ahead for Alpha testing.

Q3 2025 Alpha testing will involve bug fixes, polishing, and gameplay updates with the mind to go into Beta testing for our Kickstarter backers of the respective reward tiers.

Q4 2025 The Beta will go live, smoothing out any wrinkles to make sure our backers have a great experience. Once all final tweaks and bug fixes are in, we release the game to the wild and begin porting to other platforms.

Q1 2026 onwards We will kick-start the porting to other platforms, along with actually producing the Kickstarter physical rewards. This roadmap is highly likely to change with development progress.

What is Maple Forest?

Maple Forest is an action RPG inspired by many of the of the 90s classics, including Zelda, Secret of Mana, the Soul Blazer trilogy, and more. In it, you'll adventure across an island that's begun to sink for mysterious reasons. The village elder tells you that the island’s guardian at the top of the island’s tallest mountain may be able to help, but the door to the guardian’s shrine has been locked for longer than anyone can remember. Nobody has been brave or adventurous enough to unlock that door….until now!

Climb lofty mountains, dive beneath deep lakes, and brave dark dungeons in this exciting new action RPG!

In Maple Forest, you’ll:
-Explore a large and diverse island overworld packed full of hidden grottos, caves, and secrets… and maybe even the seas surrounding it!
-Delve into seven dangerous and labyrinthine dungeons, along with many smaller and optional mini-dungeons.
-Find over 40 items to help you on your quest!
-Make friends with a colorful and fun cast of characters!
- Solve the mystery of why Maple Island is sinking, and save your new home!

The support we have received is beyond anything our wildest imagination could have dreamed up. When we first started working on this passion project, the goal was simple: to create something we loved, born from the inspiration of other games that moved us and hopefully will inspire others in turn.

With that, our campaign comes to a close, and we turn our focus to game production and the merchandise promises we've made here on Kickstarter. To anyone who still wants to back us, late pledges will stay open until October 15th, and any add-ons you'd like will be available through the pledge manager.
